About Masters Of Computer Application

The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a Postgraduate degree in computer application Streams awarded in India.

MCA is a three year (6 semester) course. The MCA programme is planned to have 5 or more theory subject plus two laboratories each semester. There are two projects in the course One Major and one mini.

Eligibility

Most of the Universities have fixed the criteria that should be fulfilled in-order to get admission:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer/Mathematics/Physics/Any Discipline
• 50% or more marks in Degree
• Must have studied Mathematics in higher secondary (+2)

For Non-Mathematic non-regular

There are few university who offer admission without the criteria of Mathematics, but the candidate have to study mathematics in the first semester and there is a compulsion to qualify the paper.

For Non-Mathematic regular

The students who wishes to attend regular course need mathematics which they can get in following ways:

• Apply for Mathematics as additional subject in the same Education Board from where +2 was qualified.(Exam is conducted once a year).
• Apply for Mathematics as additional subject in National Institute of Open Schooling . Nature of exam is on-demand and is conducted every month on different dates.
